Francesca Hayward is a Principal of The Royal Ballet. She studied at The Royal Ballet School from 2003-2011. While a student at The Royal Ballet School she won the Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance, the 2010 Young British Dancer of the Year and both the silver and Audience Choice Award at the 2010 Genée International Competition.
After graduating into the company in the 2011/2012 season, she was chosen to represent The Royal Ballet at The Eric Bruhn Prize 2012 and won Best Emerging Artist in 2014 and the Grishko Award for Best Female Dancer 2016 and Tendu Award for Best Female 2019 at the Critic's National Dance Circle Awards.
Francesca's repertory with The Royal Ballet includes Juliet, Manon, Giselle, Alice, Titania in The Dream, Clara and The Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker), Princess Aurora and Princess Florine (The Sleeping Beauty), Lise (La Fille Mal Gardée, Ondine (pas de deux), Principal Female in Rhapsody, Principal Woman in 4th Movement Symphony in C, Perdita (The Winter's Tale), The Girl (The Invitation), Princess Stéphanie (Mayerling), Vera (A Month in the Country), Tarantella and Principal Woman in Emeralds and Concerto First Movement Principal.
Francesca appeared as Juliet in The Royal Ballet film of Romeo and Juliet : Beyond Words directed by Ballet Boyz and as Victoria in the 2019 movie adaptation of Cats.
English dancer Hannah Grennell is a First Artist of The Royal Ballet. She trained at The Royal Ballet School and in 2011 graduated into Dutch National Ballet. She joined the Company at the start of the 2014/15 Season and was promoted to First Artist in 2017.
Grennell was born in Essex and trained at the Adagio School of Dance before joining The Royal Ballet School as a Junior Associate, going on to train through the School. Performances while at the School included Four Seasons(Royal Ballet School annual matinee). She joined Dutch National Ballet as an aspirant and was promoted to élève in 2012 and into the corps de ballet in 2013. Roles with Dutch National Ballet include dancing with the corps de ballet in Wayne Eagling’s The Nutcracker and Mouse King, Rudi van Dantzig’s Swan Lake, Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella and Ton Simmon’s Romance pas de deux. Grennell’s work as a model includes appearing with Viktor & Rolf in their Haute Couture spring 2014 show.
Grennell’s roles with the Company have included in Multiverse. She has created roles in Untouchable and Woolf Works.
Michael Raynaud was born in Antony , near Paris. He danced locally from the age of seven before starting his formal training at The Paris Opera Ballet School for six years. Whilst at the School, Michael performed all over the world , as well as with the Paris Opera Company as a student. He went on to train at the National Conservatoire in Paris, where he gained his Arts Baccalauréat and Unités de Valeurs in anatomy, Ballet history and musicality.
On completing his training Michael joined English National Ballet for their worldwide tour Swan Lake. He then became a permanent member of the company , performing many roles in the company’s Repertoire, from Rudolph Nureyev’s Romeo and Juliet to Derek Deane’s Swan Lake and Michael Corder’s Cinderella . His favourite ballets to perform are Harald Lander’s Etudes and Sir Kenneth Macmillan’s Rite of Spring.
Upon graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance Professional Dancers Diploma , Michaël was invited to teach workshops and summer schools for the RAD in London, Italy and Germany.
He has taught ballet classes to students and professionals of all ages . He was Associate Tutor for Ballet studies at GSA at the University of Surrey and ballet teacher at the London Boys Ballet School, London Junior/Senior Ballet at ArtsEd as well as guest teaching and judging in New Zealand for DanceMasters International , Italy , Japan , Sweden , Singapore and Brazil.
He recently left the faculty of The School of Ballet Theatre UK after two years to concentrate on new opportunities worldwide.
