Hannah Grennell

English dancer Hannah Grennell is a First Artist of The Royal Ballet. She trained at The Royal Ballet School and in 2011 graduated into Dutch National Ballet. She joined the Company at the start of the 2014/15 Season and was promoted to First Artist in 2017.

Grennell was born in Essex and trained at the Adagio School of Dance before joining The Royal Ballet School as a Junior Associate, going on to train through the School. Performances while at the School included Four Seasons(Royal Ballet School annual matinee). She joined Dutch National Ballet as an aspirant and was promoted to élève in 2012 and into the corps de ballet in 2013. Roles with Dutch National Ballet include dancing with the corps de ballet in Wayne Eagling’s The Nutcracker and Mouse King, Rudi van Dantzig’s Swan Lake, Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella and Ton Simmon’s Romance pas de deux. Grennell’s work as a model includes appearing with Viktor & Rolf in their Haute Couture spring 2014 show. 

Grennell’s roles with the Company have included in Multiverse. She has created roles in Untouchable and Woolf Works.
