Guy Niblett F.I.S.T.D. Ex - Royal Ballet Company (Soloist)
Guy Niblett trained at the Royal Ballet School White Lodge and Upper school for eight years by Richard Glasstone, Patricia Linton, Walter Trevor, Piers Beaumont and Terry Westmoreland; He joined the Royal Ballet Company in 1979 and was promoted to Soloist in 1985 by Sir Anthony Dowell.
He worked with and created roles for Sir Kenneth Macmillan, Sir Peter Wright, David Bintley, Michael Corder and others. He was cast in major roles in much of the Royal Ballet repertoire most notably as the boy in Jerome Robbins Afternoon of a faun, the Nephew in Peter Wright’s production of The Nutcracker, Mercutio and Tybalt in Kenneth Macmillan’s Romeo and Juliet.
In 1997 Guy retired as a performer and now teaches ballet as a freelance guest teacher for schools, colleges and individuals. He is a regular adjudicator and Examiner for the Imperial Ballet Faculty of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
