Dima Gruzdev
Born in Russia, Dmitri Gruzdyev trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy (1981 - 1989) studying under Sokolov.
In 1988 won first prize at the first Vaganova Ballet competition.
He joined the Kirov Ballet Company in 1989 as a Soloist.
Dmitri joined English National Ballet in September 1993 as a soloist, and rose through the ranks to become a Lead Principal Dancer where he spent the remainder of his career until he retired from dancing in 2015.
Dmitri received a teaching diploma from the Royal Ballet School teacher training course in 2014.

In 2010 Dmitri created a piece for The Bath Festival, and in 2011 created and performed a piece for UNICEF charity gala at the Royal Albert Hall.
2013 created a piece for The Caron Keating Foundation charity gala at the Royal Albert Hall.
2014 directed ‘My First Coppelia’ for English National Ballet School.
